Special event
Björkö Experience
A journey through the outer archipelago with coffee by Björkö’s inland lake.

Event Details
The journey begins from Pargas. The journey takes guests through the Finnish archipelago to Björkö, an island known for its nature, historic farm environment, and popular natural harbour.
At the heart of the island is Södergrannas, the original main farm of Björkö. The farm was restored by Tiia and Santeri and reopened to visitors in 2020 while preserving the historical atmosphere and traces of island life. The restoration project received the Cultural Environment Award in 2024.
During the visit, guests can explore Café Björkö, located in the farm’s main building. The café serves homemade pastries, simple archipelago-style food, and local flavours. The building also includes a small shop and a home-style museum presenting the history of the farm and the island.
The island offers easy walking routes through forests, meadows, and smooth coastal cliffs. A short trail leads from the café to Kumlet, the highest point on the island, where an observation tower provides wide views across the outer archipelago.
The excursion also include a visit to Byviken natural harbour and the island’s unique inland lake, Insjön, known for its exceptionally clear water and swimming opportunities.
